Other duties may be assigned.  Develops content and format for regulatory submissions. Coordinates submission of annual FDA registration, updates to device listing, MDR’s, 510(k)’s, and recall notices. Coordinates submission of documentation for international regulatory requirements including the European Medical Device Directive (CE marking) and other countries as business needs dictate. Advises corporate personnel regarding the development and implementation of regulatory strategy, potential areas of regulatory concern, and new government/regulatory developments. Negotiates directly with regulatory authorities regarding company's filings. Develops, implements, and reviews current policies and practices affected by updates issued by Federal and international regulatory agencies. Coordinates with other departments, corporate or marketing partners, and international offices to achieve project goals. Conducts Incident investigations, risk analysis, and post market surveillance. Coordinates responses to external requests for product regulatory information, test reports, and certificates.Coordinates insurance, legal, and product liability issues with legal counsel.Assists in performing internal quality system, supplier, notified body and FDA QSIT audits.Reviews regulatory publications to keep apprised of new regulatory developments. Competency:To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies  Analytical - Synthesizes complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data; Designs work flows and procedures.
